L.O.L(read if u use thease letters to say u r laughing)

it"s not a survey or not like written in some book but i think writing "lol" to show u thought something is funny is not realistic...i instantly think about times when we will be saying lol in our lives when we wanted to laugh..the idea came to me when a guy told me HNY without a smile on his face..& i said what???! & he said happy new year......i!!soo it"S like we"Re loosing the real emotions....if u have marked i never say lol....atleast for last 300 posts.........i love the people like devilsson & krb who never use it like me...who do hahahaha..i love them....your thoughts on my thoughts...??

I can say, i never use this, or nearly never, just because it doesn't sound real to me and if i want to show i find something funny, i prefer to use this  , maybe for some person it's the same, but i just find it "better". I have nothing against the lol, lmao, rofl etc ... but i don't use them.

I only use 'lol' on the internet, and then only if I'm writing in English, rarely when I write in Dutch (it actually means 'fun' in Dutch, which is pretty much a coincidence!)... I would never use it in real life, cause that's just stupid. Can you imagine going to some comedy movie and instead of laughing everyone says just 'lol' all the time? That would be sick - don't think it will ever get that far anyway!

But for the internet? I don't mind the use of it... it's pretty much the same as using the smilies anyway. I mean - what really is the difference between writing 'lol' or 'hahaha'? They both have the same meaning and it hard to show 'real' emotions through the internet anyway.

LOL, LMAO, ROTFLMAO, TPB, TIIC.... all those things don't bother me on line. But I'd never use them in real conversation.

Yeah me too Becky. You'd sound stupid if you used LOL in a real conversation.

I was talking to girl not so long ago on the internet and she said, "Hey you must really love me because you keep saying LOL." I'm like "What the....?". She thought that LOL meant Lots Of Love, rather than Lots Of Laughs. :D

I use it on the internet only. I like it much better than those aweful smilefaces. Some are ok but this one I find scary  :!:

ha ha, is really good too. haha and lol are fine in my book.

A few times in real life I've come very close to saying lol instead of laughing. I use it a lot on the Internet, so it wouldn't suprise me if I did it once in reality, lol.
