Finding a mate
 

Does it get harder to find someone the older you get?? I've been single now for years and I think I'm getting too picky and maybe too set in my ways.. anyone else think it gets harder?
Also I don't seem to meet suitable men anymore.. or is that again that I'm too picky??
Just wondering if I better start gearing myself up for staying single.. :?

I reckon it does get harder as you get older. Im only 23 and already finding alot of people my own age are settling down having kids etc. I suppose the older you get the men you meet are more liekly to have kids, wifes etc :roll: Lets face it you dont wanna be trailing around a couple of his kids to Mcdonalds every Saturday.

That said I usually find stuff happens when you're least expecting it, so dont give up yet is what im saying!!! I def dont think you'll be single forever :)

Well, I'm not desperate just yet!! And not looking, but I remember it all being a lot easier.. :roll:

No, I've heard about it though. I've been toying with the idea to do the internet dating thing, but somehow I think that's sad. It's funny though that so many people are joining these things and really young people too. Guess I'm not the only one who thinks the dating game has gotten harder.

Speed dating is where an equal number of men and women sit around a table and all have like threeminutes to get to know one another and then if you like anyone at the end of the night you exchange details.

If you're serious about it Tash I reckon its safer than Internet dating. (apart from if is Kev of course!!!)

I think it's more about you turning more picky... :) And the fact that the older you get, the less available men who fulfill your criteria there are. There's always people for few nights, but anything more serious demands a lot more.

I've found that anytime I'm not looking, I find what I need. I have a complex theory about a special feromone single people emit that basically says "Run away! Run away! I'm single, I'm looking and I'm getting desperate!". It's a nice turn off. :D

Did you ever notice how you could always get all the women / men you want when your IN a relationship, but when you're not you never seem to find anyone? That's what my theory explains. :)
