BJ Tour Memories

I posted this in the me me me me thread but thought more people would like to read it....

I have been the the following shows....

27th August 2000 Britannia Stadim, Stoke
13th June 2001 McAlpine Stadium, Huddersfield
17rh June 2001 Millenium Stadium, Cardiff
18th September 2002 Shepherds Bush Empire, London
22nd June 2003 Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow
24th June 2003 Molyneux Ground(s!!!) Wolverhampton
26th June 2003 Old Trafford, Manchester
28th June 2003 Hyde Park, London

As you say, each show holds different memories for different reason, its not just about the show, its about the people you meet, the fine looking ladies on show...erm, the amount of fun you have while queueing, the weather etc.

My Fave concert was probably Hyde Park....Here i could list a million reason, meeting Kev (Bon Geordie) as soon as we got there at 8.30am, after being with him all day at glasgow, we were so shocked to see him again! The other friends we made on the day, he fact that we stayed together from first thing right in the morning, right to the very end. Me paul and kev all Getting front row of the Gold Circle. Getting real sunburnt at the show lol, hearing the buzz of 120,000 (not 92,000) people scream as richie started the Bounce intro. Jons "booms". Lay your hands on me, these days, and never say goodbye. Then saying goodbye to everyone, i was sad, but never been so happy at the same time!

2nd fave was probably Cardiff in 2001. Cardiff was our first show that we got into the pit and we never thought we would ever get so close!

3rd would have to be SBE, just for the shear fact that we got the very last two tickets (numbers 1999 and 2000) after the show had sold out. The box office had two cancellations on the monday morning before the show and paul snapped them up. When he txt me i thought he had gotten tickets for the cinemas, not the ACTUAL show! Then it was a club gig, such an intimate setting and is something I will probably never experience again with BJ.

4th is Glasow, the first of our four shows in 6 days...when richie started that into to bounce and we could see the red and green lights and lazers behind him...so magnificent....the electricity in the crowd was just phenominal...paul didnt know nothing at all about what had happened on the tour so seeing his face when jon announce richie was gonna sing a song was worth the entry fee alone!

5th is Stoke, this was an awesome show, but when i look back it was only an average show, this was my first so it always holds special memories. Bood on blood was a special moment for me....when jon stops after singing "...in a rock n roll band" and the crowd wne more nuts than any show i have been at!

6th is Old Trafford, my local show...despite being an amazing show, i missed the end coz my friend hayley passed out and we had to go over the barrier...the medical room was backstage and we heard jon n richie after the show outside talking about how awesome the show was...that was magical for me. Also seeing hayleys face when we walked round the stadium and we saw taija and laura and i remember them standing up and shouting "KEEEEEVVVVV" really loud....that got me so excited...hayley thought it was so mad that i had a "fanclub" lol.

7th was Wolverhamton. Just an average show, very much enjoyed it, and i guess i knew this was gonna be the "worst" of our four.....hearing jon talk about the banners and seeing the 7 year old kid on the screen was a highlights for me.

8th, last but not really least was the show at Huddersfield, an amazing show as always, i was on my own that day and only talked to the people who i met...still great, but it just wasnt the samegoing on your own. An awesome show...jon talking about becoming a doctor lol.

I have never had a bad experiece at a show....BJ are by far the greatest live band ever!

Great post Kev! I've only been to two Bon Jovi shows. But each show has its high points.

Air Canada Centre, February 20th, 2003

This was my first Bon Jovi show!!! Nothing beats that rush when you hear the band live for the first time! Wanted Dead or Alive was amazing. Jon and the band just played the music and the 20 000 people at the ACC sang the verse! Awesome! And they played Damned too. Was not expecting that at all. I don't even think I sang along because I was in so much shock. Oh and if you have the Toronto bootleg, that's me and my friend talking during Wanted! Sorry about that. If i knew the bootlegger was there, I wouldn't have talked so much

Molson Amphitheatre, July 17th, 2003

11 row floor seats!!!! Never been to the amphitheatre before. The ushers kept telling us to go down to the next level. I phoned my mom when we finally got to our seats and I was, no word of a lie, shaking! She had to tell me to take a deep breath and calm down. My pictures turned out awesome! The best part of the night was Bed of Roses, when a guy, with Jon's help, proposed to his girlfriend.

Next tour, I planning on travelling up and down the Eastern seaboard to see the band! I can't wait!

Maine Road Manchester 96 - My first concert, was always gonna be special. Hightlights were them opening with LYHOM - the intro was played by a brass band and it awesome. I had tears in my eyes when they came on stage.
When they played Driftaway and These days together it was fantasic.

Gateshead 2000 - Hightlight of this show was bed of roses and the stage show. I took a mate to this show whose now a BJ fan, who loved it so much she came the next year too.

Milton Kenes 2001 - Ending with Prayer

Cardiff 01 - Always and ending with Never say goodbye

Dublin 03 - These days and Diamond Ring

Manchester 03 - The whole day was great, prob my best BJ show. Managed to get front row for the last half of the show which was amazing. The atmosphere was excellent too.

Hyde PArk 03 - 92,000 people, what more can you say??? Hightlights were These days, blood on blood and never say goodbye.

All the BJ concerts ive been to have been top notch ive enjoyed some more than others but iv never been to a bad one. As Kev says the best live band around today by a hell of a long way.

Role on 2005!!!!

Best shows have to be Dublin both of them for different reasons, Wembley 2000 as it was my first show, Old Trafford as it was just a damn good day all round! All the shows hold special moments from them, Dublin 2001 as I got Richies last plectrum that he threw off stage, meeting different people at each and every show.
The end of the day its not the big things to me that matter, its the little things, the all day things meeting people and having a laugh before the shows and after the shows, after Ibrox we searched for a taxi back into town and me being me went up to random drivers in cars who had enough space in for us all and asked for a lift! Once back at our hotel in Glasgow we all ran riot round the hotel as me and Carli (well my idea) hid one of my mates hotel room keys 8)

Plenty of tour memories!

He he we got them back in Glasgow though didnt we??!!!

Marijke you misunderstood this topic. It was about tour memories, not about bragging about how many shows you've been to.

Salaam Aleikum,

Well MR supersonic I wasn't finished but I had to leave the comp at school and though it would be okay to post all ready the start.

The best memories come from the last tour...

Hearing Diamond ring live in munchen, wow great the song means a lot to me, but also Never say goodbye which I never heart live before.

But the best memories come from the people I met. Some of them became friends for live. Carola, my soulmate it was amazing to spend so much time and having so much fun together. The waiting, the exitment, the power, the energy, the nights without sleep, it was all one hell of a ride.

But also back in 1996 hearing them live for the first time made a great impression.
