Have you checked the cables, because maybe he pulled on them in every direction, that's what James does !

Does it make any sounds? Does the CD spin? Is it a pirated game? What happened before it stopped working?

Put a cleaning CD in there, let it spin for 45 seconds and then see if it recognises the CD again.

Ok i will try a cleaning cd,ive checked the cables they look ok but i dont think the cd is spining what do i do now

If you have tried several games and all the CD's won't spin it's one of two things.

1) The Lens is dirty so it doesnt think that there is a Cd in there in which case cleaning it will do the trick

2) The motor which spins the CD has gone in which case you might as well chuck it in the bin and buy another second hand one.

I'll sell you mine if you give £20 to a charity of my choice plus you pay me for postage.

Take the offer.

If the CD doesn't spin, there isn't much to do. Try cleaning the lens, if that doesn't work, you might as well buy a new one. Fixing it will probably cost more.
