Whats the point of life anymore?
 

So heres the story:

I fell in love.

I now find out that the reason that my boyfriend dumped me is that he is obsessed with my friend (who is seeing his best mate!)

I really loved him, she is hidious by the way.

What is the fcuking point to anything anymore?

I give up.

As someone who's been deeply in love and thought I'd found the person I'd spend the rest of my life with, only to have it not be the case, I can tell you life goes on. Eventually, believe it or not, you'll even have days where the guy doesn't even cross your mind. You may always have a special place in your heart for him. But NO guy is worth loosing perspective on life.

I know that when you are soo hurt, you cannot imagine to ever feel better. However, you will even though it'll take a while. In fact, someday you'll wonder why you let a guy (especially a guy like that) make you feel sooo miserable.

No guy is worth loosing perspective. Particular a guy like that!!

If its any help i have been heartbroken 3 times!!!!!!!

The first time it happens its like your in a really dark tunnel and you don't know if u will ever get out of it, you do though, and it makes you a better person

The incidents after that, i knew how i was feeling and i knew i would get over ti, i did, i'm fine.

Don't go and do anything stupid, no one person is worth that, your young and have loads of chances to meet someone better, think how your family and friends would feel, all for the sake of a typical lad!!!!

Go out, get some make up on, really do yourself up and show him what he is missing out on !

I agree with every one else hes not worth it although you feel loads of pain at the moment you will get over him, but the main thing is dont do anything to hurt yourself

sorry about that. Just because your boyfriend did that doesn't mean there's no point to life. Don't judge everyone and "life" in general just down to this one experience.

In a way you've already trivialised what happened by concentrating not on the break-up itself, but just being morbid and pessimistic about life.

I agree with Becky, sometimes it's hard to see the big picture but losing a perspective on life because of a guy is just not worth it... It might seem like you're in a dead end now, but believe me, life goes on, and time is a great healer, as cliched as it sounds. There are always times in your life when everything seems pointless, but out of experience, I can say that it does get better... Much better!

If your ex is obsessed with your best friend, he probably isn't someone you thought he'd be, and certainly not someone you want to be with... And it hurts to be dumped, but don't lose your perspective on life, and don't feel worthless just because of one guy.
