Too Short?!

Hi All!

So Everyday! Don't you think that Everyday is quite short? All the first singles from the other albums are longer in avarage 4 mins. And I think 2mins 53 secs not enough for being a Number 1 Hit. Hope the album version will be longer.

Bye bye

Don't think 2:57 is too short for a hit. I even
think it was done to make it a hit. A shorter
song will probably even get more airplay
and stuff like that.

too short! definetly!

Meggar 08-01-2002 04:50 PM

Hey, this is probably not the album version, just and edited one for radio.

Kris 08-01-2002 04:52 PM

It probably is. I think that the albumversion will
maybe have a longer intro as well as a longer solo.

I know here is the US, guitar solo's or interludes are usually edited out for radio play. I think a shorter song would get more airplay in the U.S.

Somehow I got the feeling that Everyday is a little bit too short.....it could have been longer.

The song IS too short and I'm afraid that the only intention behind it was to write a hit. The song is cool but if I had to choose between Hey God and Everyday I'd pick Hey God if you know what I mean. I also hope the album version will be longer but I don't know what could there be???

ooooooh i so agree!!!
i've been saying that from the beginning!!
the song rocks but way to short!!
if richie is such a led zepplin fan, they are kinda known for their long songs, well take some lessons from them.

Mongoose 08-02-2002 02:33 AM

well I havent heard it yet (HARDCORE!) but I would expect that it is only the radio version on general release at the moment. Maybe its worth asking Bon Jovi HQ if theres an album version too

I also agree it is too short, but they often make a radio edit so maybe the album version will be longer. We will just have to try to be a bit patient until the single comes out to see how long it is and if anything has been edited off.

Kris 08-02-2002 06:02 PM

Oh well, what is too short? I know brilliant songs
that only last 2 minutes. Look at it as being a bit of
variation ;) If everything was 4:30 it got kinda
boring ;) So let's hope that besides a 2:57 song
there will be a 11:23 masterpiece on the record hehe.

It's not really the lenght of the song that matters, but more the sound of it. And since Everyday really rocks IMO, I'm not afraid that it's too short or anything (too short for WHAT anyway?).

I agree. I am sure the album will have a longer version...

Yep I agree, this song is too short!

But I hope the intro and solo will be longer on the record. It's usually edited for the radio. Listen at IML, in the Austrian radio it's quite short and I know the same about some other Bon Jovi songs.

Well, Bon Jovi usually have quite long songs and I think if 'Everyday' is really only 2:53 it will even be the shortest Bon Jovi song ever. So I hope that it's gonna be longer.
