Yes, I def think its safer than internet dating. My dad met his g/f through one, I think as long as you choose a reputable one its fine.

not that much different from meeting someone at the dancing really. probably safer and less chance of anyoen feeling like shit after it cos you know what its about.

my mate recently joined the gentlemans club if you catch my drift, by meeting some bird at the dancing and goign home with her half an hour later. i mean i'm not a prude by any stretch of the imagination but im like: she does not have a clue who you are, you've just met her, fair enough take 1 for the team but you're 1st time will be remembered as some drunken fumble with a slag you met in the dancing that never got back in touch with you.

i despair sometimes i really do.

i dont think your "first time" should be a drunken stumble..thats nothing worse than that. I would rather meet someone in a club though rather than going througha dating agency. Meeting on the internet can be quite scary i guess, but i guess if you have been speaking for a long time on the net and you can talk to each other on the phone. I would think this is acceptable. My best girl mate Helen. her aunty recently met her (future) husband through the net. They are very much in love only he lives in New York City and she is moving in with him over in the states. They hav met up loads of times and they spend long periods of times in each others countries and I think its really kool.

Im quite cynical about internet dating, but I read somewhere that more and more ppl are turning to it. Its a good way to get to know someone without any awkwardness but Im just always weary about people lying over the internet.
