So u go and see acts live just coz there singer is cute?.

So are u going backstage to meet the singer?

Jim Bon Jovi 08-24-2004 03:21 PM

being backstage is majorly over-rated. It's more of an ego thing than anything else.

V
ever met any famous bands?

allmike 08-24-2004 04:20 PM

not outside my dream :(

V you?

UKjovi 08-24-2004 07:37 PM

No

Do you think its wrong to be too lenient on drug abusers?

Jim Bon Jovi 08-24-2004 08:59 PM

well it's a case by case thing. i know people who smoke a disgusting amount or do lots of speed and never really do much except talk shite whereas there's other people who'll harm other people as a result of their drug use y know.

V you agree?

spunkywho 08-24-2004 10:19 PM

I think drug addicts need help - serious help and there should be many programs in place that will keep them safe. As safe as possible.

I find it ridiculous that I could go to jail for smoking a joint, but being charged with domestic abuse, I most likely wouldn't see the inside of a jail ever.

Not long ago, there was this girl at a streetcorner asking me for money to get a cup of coffee. You know she wasn't going for the coffee. I gave her whatever I had in my pocket - as we walked away, my friend said 'you do realize that you just further supported her habit.' I disagree, though. I know what she is using the money for, but a heroin addict (which she most likely was) will do ANYTHING to get that money. She was barely 20 and incredibly pretty - if I can keep her from doing the ugly thing just once, I'll do it.

should you help out druggies and homeless people or leave them to their own devices?

Jim Bon Jovi 08-24-2004 10:22 PM

I dunno. I tend not to when i know it's just goign to buy them a wrap of smack but now and again i will.

A guy came upto me in Edinburgh once and asked for a quid so he could go and buy a beer and I gave it to him and said have one on me for the simple reason that he didn't bullshit me giving it "I need some coffee" or " I need money for a train ticket" or whatever.

Dunno if i'd have been as generous if he'd said can you give me some money for a wrap.

I'd rather give change to street performers or buskers since they actually do somethin for it.

V coolest street performer you've ever seen?

spunkywho 08-24-2004 11:22 PM

it is a bit harder to publicly say it is for drugs as that is illegal, beer is at least still legal.

I always give to street performers and it annoys the heck out of me if I am with several people and they don't give anything even though they stand there for a few minutes and watch.

coolest: some pantomime - in Portland, Oregon - he was really good - all painted in silver and he had some silver balls which he juggled. REally good.

cutest: the guy with his acustic guitar at the pier in Santa Monica doing red hot chili pepper songs :D

would you ever do some public entertainment on a street corner?

allmike 08-25-2004 12:28 PM

Like to help but not sure i can hlep though.

V Drugs addiction is dead end?

Jim Bon Jovi 08-25-2004 07:56 PM

it gets to a point where it is but you can get clean even in severe cases.

V I've been thinking about doing a bit of buskign up the town when the pubs and clubs pour out as a result of my lack of jobs, so are buskers kinda cool as far as girls are concerned?
