spunkywho 05-19-2004 04:50 AM

yes - what's a billy pole?

Jim Bon Jovi 05-19-2004 04:56 AM

it;s a mini extandable baton kinda like a small police baton except it doesnt have a side handle. i only usually take it in if there's been any big football matches on but the works nt exactly in the nicest location or has the nicest customers so there's a hefty chance it will need to be used sooner or later

V would you work in a place like that?

spunkywho 05-19-2004 04:59 AM

oh my god - I only see that stuff on the news - the british news!!

I think it would be hilarious to work at a place like that.

Jim Bon Jovi 05-19-2004 05:53 PM

I sometimes take a little baton thing into work thats called a billy pole.

the females in the thread hijacked it and turned it into a filthy innuendo once again.

Tashjbj 05-20-2004 01:39 AM

Tashjbj 05-20-2004 11:29 PM

God yes!!! :D

Do you have too many pairs of shoes?

Jim Bon Jovi 05-20-2004 11:57 PM

i can count them on one hand

pair of french connection dress shoes that i wear to work, goign out etc...
pair of snakeskin base shoes for going out
really done in pair of nike trainers that do me for the gym or if i need to do something quick
a pair of londsdale gutties like converse trainers
and a pair of adidas trainers ive had for years that i only wear to the gym now and again.

why get more than 1 of the same kind of shoe? thats aimed at the ladies in particular

spunkywho 05-21-2004 05:43 AM

Why???

You don't really want to know and it would take a few pages to truly explain, but here is the short version.

I have lime green linen pants and the only shoes that go with it are lime green flip flops. I have brown boots that I love (modern western style - NOT cowboy boots) - I love them so much I had to buy them in black too.

Sneakers - two pairs minimum - one pair might be wet as it rains a lot in Seattle and I walk the dogs twice a day.

Hiking shoes - three pairs because I couldn't decide on the colors

Sandals - hiking sandals and uncountable flip flops - they are fun and comfortable - need all styles and colors

Snakeskin boots with fairly high heels cause they look really good  (kill my feet if I wear them too long)

Black and brown boots that go with skirts.

These are just a few that I can think off of the top of my head.

Notice - we have not covered purses, backpacks or jackets yet, but similar arguments as above can be made for each.

Have you ever danced on the bar in a club???

jess 05-21-2004 01:48 PM

 I confess ....

You ?

Jim Bon Jovi 05-21-2004 04:45 PM

yup playign air guitar et al. the only thing that surprised me was how i actually managed to stay ba;anced considering the amount of vodka id drunk.

V drink of choice at the moment?

jess 05-21-2004 06:21 PM

anything strong

how are you feeling ?

allmike 05-21-2004 06:39 PM

pretty well, just bit tense about tomorrow.

V how many time u take a bath in a day?

jess 05-21-2004 07:33 PM

how many baths in a day ????? :o
not 20 !
one shower, sometimes 2.

Can you forgive easily ?

spunkywho 05-21-2004 08:45 PM

depends on what it is that needs forgiving :?

I'd like to say yes, but usually if it builds up - I just cannot deal with it anylonger.

Are you always upfront with your feelings?

Veloz 05-21-2004 08:50 PM

no :? i´m normally very shy when it comes to expressing them.. i WISH i was more upfront though, cause sometimes sooo many things build up and it gets worse

u?

reincarnationofjonspants 05-22-2004 06:37 PM

Oh and it really depends what feeling I am supposed to be expressing with what person! For instance, I will indeed cry in front of my family and friends if we had to put Bigfoot to sleep. :( However, I'd just keep a stiff upper lip in front of my co-workers and employer and higher administrators in the school (teachers, principles..). It's amazing how open and upfront i am with my feelings with my friends and family but not with people I feel obligated to be excellent for! :o\

Hm.. what did you do today so far? :D

allmike 05-23-2004 11:21 PM

I catch the early flight from Bahrain and came back to Kuwait. Took some rest, watch the Friends finale episode on DVD and afternoon went for work. Now i'm at home infront of net. :)

Do you have plans for Memorial Day weekend?

Jim Bon Jovi 05-24-2004 01:53 AM

eh what now?

we tend to lack with regards to the amount of public holidays to commemorate our boys so we get rememberance day on the 11th of november and not much else.

V you?

spunkywho 05-24-2004 03:42 AM

no plans - I hate the mandatory cook-out thingy.

I might have a private hot-tub party depending on who will show up

Ever dated someone you worked with?

Jim Bon Jovi 05-24-2004 03:55 AM

no. every job ive ever had, it's been when I've been goign out with Ash though I did get her a job in my work for a fewe months but she left cause she didn't like it and the customers aren't the nicest of people. Glad really cause its nto an environment I want her working in.

I worked in greggs for a whoppign 2 months and there was a chick there that was pure mad for me. I was a bit flattered as you are when you get some attention but she wasn't the nicest looking person around and she had a kid so I was like..... wide berth even if i was single. the day I was leaving she chased me out of the shop shouting on me and handed me an envelope. i was getting worried incase it was some sort of love letter or whatnot but she mademe open it and it turned out to be a Christmas card.

was pretty touched to be honest but relieved.

V ever had someone stalk you?

spunkywho 05-24-2004 04:09 AM

not in the restraining order sense, but I had an ex-boyfriend who couldn't get a grip on the fact that it was over.

I had a very very very very good friend who happened to be very good friends with him also and he took my ex aside several times trying to clue him in that it was over. To no avail. It took him getting banned from pretty much all my regular bars and clubs before it I could go out again. He'd start a fight in literally every place with literally every guy I talked to whenever I went out. Including my very very good friend who was his best friend before all that sh*t went down. He also would show up on my doorsteps when I got home really really late at night ... it was aweful.

you?

Jim Bon Jovi 05-24-2004 04:18 AM

man I'd never have a situation get to that point for the simple reason if someone was doing that to my sister or someone I knew, they'd be getting 1 warning to give it a rest and if they decided not to listen then there would be repurcussions of a physical nature. Nothing to deter someone than force and fear. quite amazing in all seriousness.

but |I digress. I had an ex who was on anti depressants and went on mad mood swings. about half a year after we'd broke up I was at a party and her friend called asking where said freak was, i was like ive not seen her for months but for whatever reason, she;d been going around telling her friends that she was coming down to my house at the weekends for sex. half a year she was doing this for and to this day I still dont know why but I ended up drunk sitting with ashleas dad tellign him about "how my ex is tellign everyone im still shagging her" pre me and Ash;ea goign out. I just hope he was in the same state as me and doesnt remember that particular convo.

ive had another girl wait outside my door for 3 hours for me when ive been out at the cinema. stupid thing was that it was her that dumped me int he 1st place. now you may have noticed i have an innate ability to be blunt and sometimes down right cruel so i get back fromt he cinema and shes there and im like... k what do you want. silence.... if you dont say somethign or tell me what you want then i'm going in..... nothign so i shut the door on her and shes shouting in the letterbox that she has an empty house. im like yea enticing people with sex only works if the other person wants to and you're not brutal. didn't even phone the biatch a taxi for all her troubles which was a bit lowball.

cruel to be kind I say.

V ever stalked someone?

spunkywho 05-24-2004 04:34 AM

 hell NO!!! I am having a hard time getting the message across - why on earth would I be the one stalking.

Though, I had a friend (girl) that stalked her ex-boyfriend and he bribed me with, ah, drugs to come pick her up every time she slept in front of his door  :? Those were some of my "not so glamerous" moments of my road of life.

As far as my "very very very good friend" smacking the ex - there was defenitely some physical contact, but my ex was the one doing more of the smacking and the bouncers took over - which I was very grateful for. Except one time, when the bouncer got out of control (after the shit appeared a few too many times and got violent with me) and kicked the living shit out of my ex. It was surreal and I remember that night all too vividly. I was a mess, though I truly hate violence and got very upset with the bouncer for going overboard - though, today I think he was an angel.

Anyway.

what's your not so glamarous point in life?

Jim Bon Jovi 05-25-2004 07:11 PM

everything about me is glamourous.

well I've had ot so glamourous results of drinking but I'm genuinelly stoppign all that shit now.

Finished Uni for the year yesterday, was in the pub for 6 hours and whereas I finished last term, drunk a filthy amount and don't remember how i got home, this time we just sat around keepign it pretty sedated and went hoem feeling nice drunk even though I'd probably had about 7 or 8 pints and a 2 pint cocktail.

So I suppose if I pace myself, I'm ok.

V any ideas for an acoustic cover we could do on Thursday?
