The Complete book of serial killers

Have you downloaded the spell check function on this board yet?

Becky 11-06-2006 04:44 PM

No. I probably should. I haven't even seen the option to be honest!

How busy are you today?

UKjovi 11-06-2006 04:46 PM

Not too bad , got some jobs in but could be better .

What do you want for christmas?

Thomas Anderson 11-06-2006 04:56 PM

My two front teeth? :p Sorry, had to do it. Erm, I'd be happy enough to get some money so I can get a new hard drive and/or a new guitar.

Have you started buying Xmas gifts yet?

Becky 11-06-2006 05:06 PM

Yes and given them already too.

Do you have any Christmas parties on your schedule yet?

Jim Bon Jovi 11-06-2006 05:52 PM

nothing set in stone but i don't think i'll have my job by then so it'll free up alot of time for them.

i'd imagine i'll be out clubbing at least once or twice the week running upto christmas.

ill go to the mature students association xmas night at uni if i have quit by then.

i usually find something to do on boxing day

ill be in berlin from the 29th-1st january, always go to a family friends party on the 1st night and then its sort of a tradition that all my family friends go bowling on the 2nd. this'll be the 7th or 8th year and what started out as 12 folk has now snowballed to the point where last year we had around 80 people taking up half the alley. it's always great fun and someone has a party the night after that so ive got plenty to keep me occupied in that time frame.

then ive got exams to study for :'-(

if you could go anywhere int he world right now where would it be?

Thomas Anderson 11-06-2006 05:54 PM

Lisboa, Portugal

What is the most stupid thing you have ever done?

Becky 11-06-2006 06:02 PM

Trusting people I shouldn't.

What's the happiest moment of your life?

Thomas Anderson 11-06-2006 06:07 PM

Pretty pathetic but I can't think of any specific things.

Can you?

Becky 11-06-2006 06:09 PM

I've had some happy moments, but I think the happiest is yet to come. I hope so anyway.

Favorite current radio single?

Thomas Anderson 11-06-2006 06:10 PM

I don't listen to the radio, nor do I know what singles are out now

CD or MP3?

Becky 11-06-2006 09:45 PM

CD

Listen to a full CD or shuffle songs in your collection?

Thomas Anderson 11-06-2006 09:51 PM

Usually I like to listen through a whole CD.

What is the best new CD you've bought recently?

Becky 11-06-2006 09:58 PM

Love, Pain, & the whole crazy thing by Keith Urban. It's the best CD I've heard this year. Technically it's not released until tomorrow, but I've had it about 3 weeks. :D And "technically" I have bought it already since I've preordered via the fan club.

Any CDs you plan to buy soon?

Thomas Anderson 11-06-2006 10:17 PM

I might get All Saints new album, sounds a bit crap but I used to like them, still like some of their songs and now they are back together after 5/6 years I'm curious to hear them.

Any DVD's you want?

Becky 11-06-2006 10:21 PM

I've ordered season 4 of Lois & Clark and season 5 of Quantum Leap, both of which will be released next Tuesday. I'm sure I'll eventually get season 6 of Third Rock from the Sun. There are several seasons of Frasier I will eventually get as well.

Who do you spend the most money on for Christmas?

Thomas Anderson 11-06-2006 10:30 PM

I don't know, I don't tend to keep track of how much I spend on any one person. I just wish I could afford more though, for everyone.

What was the best gift you received in recent years?

Becky 11-06-2006 10:32 PM

One of my aunts gave me some pix of my dad and aunt Val (both of whom rarely let anyone take pictures of them). That aunt wasn't even really related to Val either, so it was more of a surprise.

Have you ever given someone something that made them cry?

Thomas Anderson 11-06-2006 10:35 PM

I'm not really too creative, it tends to be DVD's or just novelty gift things, nothing really sentimental that might make someone cry.

What did you do today?

Becky 11-06-2006 10:37 PM

Investigated a British website to find math interventions. I guess I should say maths interventions. LOL

How's the weather?

Thomas Anderson 11-06-2006 10:38 PM

Well it's a bit dark so I can't tell :p Dry I suppose, in so much as I haven't heard it raining, but probably quite cold.

Are you good at maths? :p

Becky 11-06-2006 10:41 PM

I'm rusty. I always got excellent scores on math and math reasoning standardized tests when I was in school.

Did you take any higher math courses?

Thomas Anderson 11-06-2006 10:43 PM

I did it at a-level but only got a C. I've probably forgotten most of it now, it is more of a case that I like solving problems, not specifical formulae, just the problem. I always used to get told off at school for skipping straight to the answer without showing my working because I just did it all in my head.

Do you think 'they' should teach more practical things in maths, such as taxes and mortgages and whatever financial stuff, not fancy equations that never apply to real life?

Becky 11-06-2006 10:49 PM

Absolutely.

Did you like chemistry (if you took it)?

Thomas Anderson 11-06-2006 10:55 PM

Well we just did science and then different modules which would cover chemistry, physics and biology. I suppose the chemistry were my least favourite because they were boring, and except for those who wish to have a career related to it I don't think I need to know how many molecules of whatever are in any specific metal or blah blah blah. Physics was alright because it was mostly messing about with little experiments, and it was interesting and somewhat practical to real life, same for biology. So the answer to your question is no :p

What was your favourite subject at school?

Becky 11-06-2006 10:59 PM

Oh, I LOVED chemistry even though I didn't go into a chemistry related field. My favorites in high school were Creative Writing & Advanced Chemistry (and I'm not saying advanced to be a twat, it was a much different class than first year chem). My favorites in college were Philosophy, Theories of Personality, and my psychological testing classes.

Worst class you EVER took?

Thomas Anderson 11-06-2006 11:05 PM

I hated having to study religion, and if I felt how I do now about it I'd have gotten myself excused from it I think. Wasn't a big fan of music either, but only because all we ever did was play basic, crap little pieces on keyboards.

If you could go back to when you were at school/college would you have made any different choices as to what you studied?

Becky 11-06-2006 11:10 PM

I think I would have gone ahead and gotten a Ph.D. instead of getting out and working. On the other hand, the reason I didn't move hundreds of miles away to go to college was because I didn't want to be away from my sick relatives and I would definitely have had to have moved further away to get a Ph. D. since the only university to offer a Ph.D. program in the Jackson area is Jackson State and I wouldn't go there for love nor money. So, I don't know. I think if I'd known I was going to wind up with the school system I would have taken teaching classes as an undergrad instead of psych classes. I do wish I'd made some different choices.

Have you ever dropped a class?

Thomas Anderson 11-06-2006 11:14 PM

Well sort of, but not exactly a class. I started to study architecture but part-way through the 2nd semester I dropped it because I wasn't enjoying it and couldn't see myself going any further with it.

If you could just instantly be good at something what would it be? (like click your fingers and you magically know it all)

Becky 11-06-2006 11:24 PM

If I could snap my fingers and have all the education necessary to be a psychiatrist, that would be pretty cool (psychology + M.D.).

Have you ever had any desire to be a doctor?

Thomas Anderson 11-06-2006 11:28 PM

No

Did you ever get pressured by your family to do things, or were they happy to support you in your decisions?

SamboraQueen21 11-07-2006 02:41 AM

Yeay. I pretty much have always done what they wanted me to do....but it has all worked out in the end.

Are you looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas?

ShaSha 11-07-2006 03:00 AM

Of course!!

Are you?

SamboraQueen21 11-07-2006 03:08 AM

Absolutely.

Do you watch reality tv shows?

ShaSha 11-07-2006 03:37 AM

Yeah certain ones. I've gotten sucked into this season of The Bachelor. :?

What's the dumbest reality show you've ever seen?

SamboraQueen21 11-07-2006 03:40 AM

Flavor of Love is pretty cheesy. Well really just Flavor Flav is.....

Are you watching the CMA awards right now?

ShaSha 11-07-2006 03:54 AM

Yes

Do they ever give away any awards on this show or is it all performances??

SamboraQueen21 11-07-2006 03:56 AM

Yeay, Jon and Richie are up for Vocal Event of the Year.

Do you like country music?
