Creating pages of copy

There may be times when you want to create a page or pages of copy—for example to practice page formatting or page numbering—and there’s a shortcut in Word 2000 with which you can type as many sections of sentences of “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.” as you need.

The formula is: =rand(any number, any number) and then press Enter.

Don’t put any spaces in between the = sign and the right paragraph mark. The first number will be the number of sections and the second is the number of sentences in each section. For example, if you enter =rand(3,5) you will have 3 sections of 5 sentences each.

You'll end up with copy that looks like this:

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
