English is really unbelivable...and guess what it means: NOT BRAVE....

We learned that word around the 4th grade. Needless to say 9 and 10 year old boys made a big joke of it.

you really did...wow....nobody knew what it means and i have a lot of british friends aor guys who are now ENglish teachers but none of them knew what it means and you learn it in the 4th grade..... :idea: 8) :wink:

No, I don't know that one. But I'd guess it has something to do with being uneven. That's just a guess. I'm probably so far off base that it's laughable.

No, but it makes sense. "Ob" for against and "loquy" for speech, like soliloquy. (I can say it, but I can't spell it. Spelling was always my worst subject!)
