Liverpool
I had a couple of free hours and my digital camera yesterday so I went around and got some pictures. I actually took almost 40, but most where inside, and they came out too dark even after I'd enhanced them.
They are quite big so will probably fill up your screen if you only have a small monitor on low resolution. http://members.lycos.co.uk/squirreloverlord/0001.jpg http://members.lycos.co.uk/squirreloverlord/0002.jpg http://members.lycos.co.uk/squirreloverlord/0003.jpg It's hard to judge the scale of a building from photographs like these, but the photo below is the front of the anglican cathedral, and at the bottom you can see a person sat down. I couldn't fit the whole thing into one shot, but the same side of the cathedral is shown from farther away in the above photo, so you can probably imagine how big it is. http://members.lycos.co.uk/squirreloverlord/0004.jpg The cathedral is one large open space inside, and apparently the biggest open space interior in the country. Unfortunately those where the pictures that where too dark. http://members.lycos.co.uk/squirreloverlord/0005.jpg http://members.lycos.co.uk/squirreloverlord/0006.jpg |
you should've gone further afield and photgraphed goodison!

Very cool, you should go on the mersey and take a picture of Liverpool from the water, it has a very nice picturesque thing going.

king's dock is starting to look quite nice now. when it's all finished it'll be great.

Thanks for the pictures Neil. I love seeing parts of the world I am not familiar with. Great architecture too.

liverpools architecture is awesome...many many historic buildings and great landmarks...a trip on the ferry ('Ferry cross the mersey' - Gerry and the Pacemakers song) to see the whole city from the water is magnificent....the skyline is quite phenominal (sp??)!
I love it! |
