I used to like the Eurovision, but I don't any more, it's all so political and the voting is a sham. I can't imagine the Junior version being any better.

I didn't watch it, but I know my country won. They had to write their own song without any help, so I guess it was not too bad for young singers.

Yeps true ... very much politic involved ! Although I guess it has got better the last few years (a bit at least ... We proved that last year when we got 2nd !!! Not much politic in that hehe ;))
Well yes, in the kids-version it was about the same ... Although the winner was pretty good ...

If anything it has gotten worse!! Greece and Cyprus always vote for each other, the Baltic states vote for each other and the list goes on. But the worst thing ever is that with the new rule that the 5 lowest scoring countries can't enter the next year, England is excluded. Technically they should be banned next year because they got no point, but because they pump sop much money into it the rule doesn't count for them!
That is ridiculous!!

Btw.. Belgium won it about 17 years ago anyway.. wasn't Sandra Kim Belgian???

Yeah she did (awfull now ! hehe)

No I mean, it's still very much politics but I mean ... Belgium got 2nd and the only political thing that is with Belgium is that we always get many points from the netherlands and the other way around ...
And Turkey won, and it was also for the very first time ...

Tashjbj 11-16-2003 04:28 PM

Turkey deserved to win, it was a great song. I think it should all be with tele voting, I noticed that the countries where the public voted instead of a jury it was a lot fairer.

And yes.. Sandra Kim.... my God!!
