What do YOU want?

What do you want Bon Jovi to do on their next studio album?

You! the fan!

these are my ideas!

1-go back to arena rock that made you famous

2-keep it at 2 slow songs minimum

3-DON'T work with a pop producer, get Bob Rock or someone of that nature.

4-Let Richie sing one song! Even Mick lets's Keith sing on the Stones albums!

5-none of that Japan bonus tracks crap either.

davefan 11-17-2003 11:53 PM

at least 2 3 and 4!!!! and I wann hear Tico playing at his best instead of ****ing drumm computers, and dave should wondefully play instead of programming the keys for stupid loops

bob 11-17-2003 11:58 PM

i just want that they surprise me in a good way

Santa_Fe 11-18-2003 12:03 AM

1) Good songs with no fillers.

2) Keep love ballads at minimum.

3) Have a complete piece of work rather than a set of singles put together.

Miracle 11-18-2003 12:28 AM

1. Like Santa_Fe said, keep love songs at a minimum (2 is good) and at least make them meaningful. I want love songs reminscint of Bed of Roses not You Had Me From Hello

2. Let's hear Tico, Richie and Dave actually play. When was the last time you heard a really great solo out of these guys?

3. Drop the Backstreet Boys type writers (a la Bounce). I want songs like Last Man Standing!!!

A rock 'n' roll album....why the hell is that so hard to do???

There is a great Romanian Rock journalist: Lenti Chiriac.
And last weekend was metallica weekend on MTV. And he pretty much said Metallica suck because of the record company. And than he said Metallica don't do anymore what they really want but what the record label wants.

He said then :"It's the same with Bon jovi! They haven't sang anything for years! But live they still perform mainly the 80s and early 90s stuff"

Is it really like this? I mean, Are Island or Universal reprehenisble???

Jag 11-18-2003 01:05 AM

for them to be true to themselves...its all i ever 'ask' from the band

jesyjames 11-18-2003 03:21 AM

I agree with Jag.

I want the band to follow their own musical muse. If they want to start creating classical music, I'm all for it so long as they are honest about it. I think TLFR is a very positive step towards that. Look at how many fans around here they ticked off. It's not like they didn't know that wouldn't happen, but they persued it anyway. The longer they keep themselves happy, the longer they will be around. And, the better the "art" will be in a pure sense of the word.

I would also like to see less prostitution of the band name. Selling chats on e-bay, hair brushes, and ear wax, etc, etc. is capitalism at it's worst(or best?). I realize the recording industry isn't what it used to be, but I think it's possible to keep your integrity and make a dollar. Maybe I'm wrong and maybe it's not their decision...

I'd love to see the band return to energetic performance that feels real. The Bogata shows were the first time in a long time the band seemed to come out of autopilot and I think all involved benefited from it. Whatever continues to maintain that enthusiasm seems worthwhile. Don't get me wrong, they are incredible live even on autopilot. But, they need to keep it fresh for the fans and the audience.

I'd love to see an incredible song. The kind that you put in your cd player and listen to over and over and over and over. That's what I want. And if you make an incredible song, why not an incredible album? My demands never end.

Theres too many demos that so many people like more than some songs that made the albums, ex. Starting All Over Again, Neurotica, etc. to name a few that i like. So put the demos on the album, it doesn't hurt to put 14-15 songs on an album. I am starting to hate it as the number of songs on albums keep decreasing, 10 songs! Put the demos on as songs, it can't hurt the album.

Also, I agree with everybody who said limit the slow songs, on Bounce I was finding too many of those. They should give us more hard rock anthems which are absolutely amazing, they define Bon Jovi

Lastly, Last Man Standing and Thief of Hearts on the album.

Question, whats Joker???

fanatica 11-18-2003 05:13 AM

I'd like to have a say on what goes on the next Bon Jovi album. And when I say "I", I mean all of us  Maybe not a Pizza Pie Jury pt. 2, but some kind of online feature that lets us vote. I mean, from hearing 1 minute of Last Man Standing, I already know I love it. And God knows how many demos have been overlooked the past few years...
