David Bowie ruined my night!
OK maybe thats a bit harsh!
As some of you may know I had front row tickets to see David Bowie in concert on monday night. My friend and I went to the manchester arena and watched the support act ,The Dandy Warhols, from our front row seats and they were excellent. When they finished we decided to go and get a drink at the bar. We checked what time David Bowie would be hitting the stage so 10 minutes before this time we headed back to our seats. As we walked down the arena we saw that there were about 5 rows of people standing at the front. A security guard told me that David Bowie had requested that people should be able to stand rather than stay in their seats. Now, this is great news if you are tall, or even average height, but at 5 feet tall not good news for me! We stood on the 3rd row for a while, but I couldnt see a thing, so we stood behind these people, about 15 feet from the stage. We had a good view and the show was amazing, but I couldnt help feeling a bit cheated, for 6 months I had expected to be on the front row. only to find myself standing about 20 rows back! Like I said, it was an amazing show, couldnt fault it! x |
Sorry about your bad luck. I remember you were so excited about the show. :(
