Xmas plans... family or friends?
Just wondering what everyone's plans are for xmas. Whether you are staying with friends or family or moving away for a holiday? Anything out of the ordinary?

Nothing much, not 100% sure though if I will be at military or at home. If I´m at home, I´ll be with my family and friends.

I would like to celebrate Xmas with friends but everyone has family-things to do ... so at Xmas Im just at home eating dinner with my parents and open a present at 12 o' clock ...

I usually see my friends after carols/church, we go out for a bite at around 2am. Then it's home for lunch and dinner with various relatives...a predictable, but always enjoyable day.

Family but I invite friends round for drinks in the evening or go to their house. But my rule this year is im not using my car on xmas day!!

How about family AND friends. We tend to mix the two here. Neither my husband nor myself lives near our parents - they are 3000 miles away. But I have 3 kids and they have assorted friends and significant others that join us. Then there are the older neighbors with no family that live near us that are sort of surrogate grandparents to my kids. Also the guy that my son and I play music with whose wife left, He is alone so he will join us. My house is jumping at the holidays. It's very casual, not formal at all, with lots of music, mostly homemade. I always enjoy the holidays.

Christmas usually isn't such a big happening in my family. The 25th is my best friends birthday and we usually celebrate that more than Christmas. Initial plans were to be away with her and a bunch of other friends for a couple of days, but that unfortunately got cancelled. My grandma is coming over on the 26th, but that's as much time with the family as I get over here in those days ;).
