Prayer Unplugged Vs Layla Unplugged
Wot u guys think? Two absolute classics reworked in acoustic format..which comes off better?
I think the backing vocals on prayer make it what it is..but the cool bluesy feel and wickd solo on layla is also amazing! decisions decisons... Oh, and the TLFR prayer is awful btw. Whoops, did i just say that outloud? ktf andi |
Layla. No doubt.

I had a discussion with a friend of mine about Layla. He said the original Layla was better cause it suited the song more. It sounds more desperate and it really is a desperate lovesong ("I'm beggin darling please Layla! etc.). So the acoustic format got rid of the original message.
Prayer does not IMO. |
Both versions of either song are absolutely fantatsic, but accoustically I would have to say prayer. The harmonising between jon and richie in the bridge is magic

difficult , but i go for Layla

original-wise, layla wins it for the riff alone.
acoustic-wise, prayer does it (the version from an evening with bon jovi) |
Prayer 94
