Best Live Solo
don't know if this has been done but what's everybody's favourite improvised solo? i know richie uses a lot of different secions he's picked up here and there which he pieces together but for the most part they are fairly improv. i tend to think he get's lost in some places and overuses string bends at time but when he nails them they sound great.
acoustic solos - love for sale, wanted intro (89) ballads (bluesey type solos) - always (seoul 95, wembley 95), i'll be there for you (giants 2001, osaka 2003), fallen from graceland (tokyo 98) rock solos - hey god (jo'berg 95, yokohama 95, wembley 95), most songs from the 80s! |
Aloha !
In & Out Of Love during the Japan tour in 1985. I wish he'd do such an intro again. Tokyo Road was great back then too. And Keep The Faith still kicks ass with the shotgun ending. Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |

Keep the Faith is amazing (my favorites are Wembley '95 and Tampa '93). I also really like the solos in Always (Wembley '95), Dry County (Wembley '95 and Copenhagen '93), The Distance (Shepard's Bush '02), In and Out of Love (back in the 80s), and Little Bit of Soul (not sure where or when).
