Help please!!

I have to write a report on the use of blood in the play 'Macbeth'. For the intro, I need to use a quote (as the 'attention getter') from a source other than the play that talks about blood... any help at all would be great!!

what is your central idea of the use of blood in macbeth? Generally, blood is used to reinforce the fear of killing/be killed.

Can you do an analogy to Blood on Blood? Both deal with killers and while Macbeth uses blood as a threating device, the song uses blood as a bond - kind of a comfort of not getting killed by your "blood-brother".

Not sure if you could really develop an analogy, though. Just a thought.

Does this have to do with Lady Macbeth and the "out, out damned spot" scene? You could make a reference to the blood of the innocent or something like that.

Blood is used at first as courage, then as guilt, and then as fear.

I was thinking about doing that... I'm just not really sure as to how to go about it...

Any Ideas?

blood is used as courage in the song, courage for Billy the Kid and Pat Garrett when they were both on the same side. Having a blood brother does give comfort and courage. Guilt, when Pat Garrett has to choose doing the "right" thing over turning in his "blood brother". Finally, fear at the end as they meet up and Billy the Kid realizes that it is the blood brother who is the most likely to find him.

Just a quick idea.

I'll keep thinking :D
