Are BJ Fans Generally Better People?

As you all probably know, music is a big part of any person's life, and likewise, many people are influenced by the music they listen to. Now, Bon Jovi, while they are a wild rock band, are generally clean cut and decent people. So do you think that people who listen to Bon Jovi are generally nicer people than those who listen to other bands that constantly sing about death, pain, drugs, etc?

Personally, I think they are. The Bon Jovi fans at my school (myself included) are all very well mannered people and get along with large groups of people.

But what do you think?

depends what you mean by nicer?

overall, i'd say we are generally more intelligent and articulate, however, there are exceptions to all rules so it's difficult to generalise.

Bon Jovi fans are a subgroup of the general population, so there are all kinds among us. Overall, we're probably more postive and hopeful, or at least wish to be, than say, Marilyn Manson's core audience, simply based on the appeal of the products. As you can tell, there are quite a number of negative Bon Jovi fans too. So, while you may make a broad generalization, there will certainly be exceptions.

I think part of the draw to Jovi's music is the concept of true, lifelong friendship. When you meet someone else that understands what it is like to have friends who will go the distance for each other like in Blood on Blood and you share that similar concept of friendship. I've met lots of people that are extremely nice, but there are a difference when you almost feel like you've known them forever. The true friendships I've formed from the boards are ones who are there for me through think and thin--not just fair weather friends--and I think that's part of the draw we've seen in the lyrics to the music.

I can still remember
When I was just a kid
When friends were friends forever
And what you said was what you did

-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

Well, look at your hand, do you hear what I said.
Can you count on your fingers each of your real friends
I know that I'm lucky, I know I'm right.
Fingers turn into fists, we're here to take on the night.

A friend of a friend needs a favor
No questions asked, there's not much more to say

-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

I’ve been waitin' for this scene to end
I don’t need somebody baby, I need a friend

Can't you see that they are quotes for the lyrics that show the bonds of friendship?
