Grrrrrrr

Grrrr... Somebody please remind me why I ever wanted a car

Two weeks ago, Taija and I wanted to go Christmas shopping... My car (Saab 900) wouldn't start. We had to wait around for 30 minutes, asking all the passers-by if they had the starting cables in their cars... Then this man came and gave us power for the battery. No problem.

On Saturday, me and Tom want to go to the Bon Jovi party by car. The car doesn't start... GRRRR... So tonight a friend of mine comes over with the cables and the car starts. We went around for a drive, and to a shopping centre about 15 kms away. The battery should've been charged enough by then... Well, we do some shopping and rent a movie, and then head back home. GRRRR.... The battery is empty again

I had to call the car service or something, took them half an hour and cost 20 euros to get it started again.

Now the car is running out in the yard  It needs to be left there for 5-6 hours to charge up, I'm sure the neighbours love me...

You should check if the charger in your car is working. It's possible to change the coils on it to make it work, if it's broken. No need to change the whole thing, it costs a lot. And a new battery would probably help too.

I had this a few years ago, had to charge it every time I wanted to go for a drive, it was ridiculous. In the end, got a new battery, only cost about 50 euros (including installing) and worth twice as much as I could drive hassle free!!!

or check the cables are tight

Or the altonator.

Although a 15km run probably wouldn't be enough to fully charge it - it should start the next time, it sounds like something is kapput
