Slowly getting into Bounce.

I bought my Bounce copy yesterday (Monday), and so far I have listened to it about 5 times. So far I think it's ok, but I'm waiting for it to grow on me more before I post on all the topics asking for reviews, favourate tracks, etc. So far I like Bounce, and the Right Side Of Wrong, but there will be more I like once I get into them. The only tracks by Bon Jovi that I liked straight away were It's My Life and Runaway, apart from that I need to listen to them at least 8 times before I start to like them.

No doubt there are many people who feel like this, and are waiting before they review the album.

Most tracks I need to listen to a few times myself, so I know where your coming from , but I still say that track 1 is the best on the album.

I think that undivided is probably the worst song on the album.

I think Undivided is a good song, but the lyrics are awful. They remind me of August 7 4:15; they are about a difficult topic, but they are very simple and straight to the point.

That's kinda true actually.

Geez guys, all the negetive people on the album, whoever said that UNDIVIDED is the worst track on the album is an idiot! No offense, but you are one of the only ones to say that. If you can't say anything good, don't say anything at all. I mean, lyrics were about 9/11 and any that are unapreciated are idiots. 9/11 hit home, and you don't realize it.....

All I am saying is that, considering the subject of the song, a little more subtelty in the lyrics would've made it a lot better, and it would've been easier to take more seriously.

It's not about the song or the content of the song and it has nothing to do with the reference to 9/11. I'm glad that there are references because it would be plain ignorant for any artist to not write about what happened but using words like "undivided" or "We stand united" is just a little too cliche if you think about it a little longer which you should probably before you behave like a 10 year old little pissed of girl. I like the song anyway. After so many years of listening to BJ I'm kinda used to cliches.

RyanBounce04 09-25-2002 01:50 AM

I'm not a pissed off little girl, i am just frustrated that someone would not appreciate, we stand as one makes sense, that is exactley what we all did. Undivided is the true meaning of what we have done, and they just spoke the truth. Thats all im saying.

I agree with you Bounce02. I understand everyone has a different opinion about things, and sure...all of Jovi's songs aren't great, but Undivided has to be one of the best they have come out with in the past 10 years.

There are some songs of theirs I don't like. "You Had Me From Hello" on the new album is WEAK. You mean to tell me that Undivided isn't any better than this song? Give me a break.

I don't see the relation between August 7, 4:15 and Undivided. I've listened to both numerous times, and can't find anything. Someone says that the lyrics are simple? Well, would you have liked a song written in the style of James Joyce or something?? Simplicity is best sometimes...this is one of those times.

Like David Bryan said, "you can play Chopin as technically perfect as you want...but we go more for emoting a feeling."

Take Care,
Norm
