A woman phoned me up today and said" could you look at my car i have been told that i have a blown head gasket by a garage but i dont think so"
so she brought it down and i looked in the header tank(thats were the water is)and there was oil in the water so naturaly i thought something was wrong so i did the usualy test, but nothing showed wrong!so i looked deeper and the oil in the tank was diesel oil not petrol oil like this car was, so it turns out the garage had put oil in the tank to make out she had a problem and pay lots of money, cant believe some people are so crooked

Some garages just see women coming. Until I startedtaking my car to my mates Boyfriends garage, My Dad used to take my car in to repaired so I didnt get ripped off.

WOW! :shock: Some people have no morals or ethics.

I happened to have the van one day at school and the gas guage was messed up. Like it would go up and then drop down. So I took it to the dealership and asked them what the problem was. The guy tried to tell me it was a problem with the sensor and since we were over the mileage, it was going to cost 300 bucks to replace plus labour. I told him I didn't have access to that kind of money. So he takes me to the parts department, hands me two bottles of fuel line cleaner and walks away. I told my dad about it later that night and he said if i ever had problems to avoid that technican at all costs as the guy is a total thief.

That is sickening though that garages do that.

Thanks Tash i haddent thought of it that way but thats how i have always been,plus shes gone away happy so that next time she has a problem she will come back to me :D

never go to a garage that u dont know someone who works in cos for the most part mechanics will rip u off at every opportunity and this is coming from an accounts student.

I guess honesty really is the best policy! :lol:

That sucks big time.Too a friend of mine happened something similar in Austrai a while agao and he didn't speak German....he was 2 days late because of that.
