2 types of fans:postive and negative

after reading alot of reviews on bounce i have noticed something.

there are those fans who listen to a bon jovi record, song for the 1st time and focus on the positives of the song,ie jons voice sounds amazing, lyrics etc.
then there are those fans who when listening to it for the 1st time just seem to go into it to find something they dont like about it and focus their attention on that.

i must say im on of the fans who looks at the postives of their songs, not the negatives coz well thats the way bon jovi have made me look at life in general,to look at the postives!!

it was just a thought i had so dont bite my head off!lol :)

well

you are probably right, but just because I don't like artichoke hearts doesn't mean I went into the taste test looking to find something not to like about them. People have different tastes... someone is buying all those Celine Dion albums.

What about the group of fans who are intelligent and see the good and bad points, and dont think that everything Bon Jovi must be made of gold?

Also, surely your second group of fans must see some good points in the songs, or else why would they be fans?

Dunno if that's fair. I think a lot of the disappointing reviews stem from the fact that we all know BJ can write better songs than a lot of those on the Bounce album. Personally I found Bounce a bit disappointing as I've been a huge Bon Jovi fan for about ten years and this is their first release in two years, so I was hugely excited, but for the most part it's pretty average, which is the same feeling I had with Crush.

I really, really wanted to like it, Jon is a great songwriter, Richie is an amazing guitarist and both Tico and Dave both bring a lot of talent to the band, but apart from one or two songs on the album, it didn't seem to have that BJ spark.

Oh well, what do I know?! :)

actually ur right krb102 i have seen reviews that have said a few postitves and a few negatives about the album

but those reviews have still gone into more detail about the bad things they think about the album.its sometimes like they are tryin to convince us the song/album is bad.

The problem BJ have - is they set the standards too high & everyone is expecting so much from their next album, its hard to listen to it as it should be.

They'll never please everyone. I love the CD, but I still don't love everything about it. Yet, overall, it's a well-balanced, well-written, and well-rounded album. They said it would be a harder rocking album than before and it is. Nothing from SWW is nearly has hard rocking as Hook Me Up or Undivided. But they're not going to leave behind the fans who love them for ballads and they've delivered some beautiful songs on this CD. They've got the epic storytelling songs in Joey and Right Side of Wrong. Dave gets a chance to shine with piano based songs. Richie shines in some of his best guitar work. Guitar doesn't have to be long or loud to be good. Listen to the guitar in You Had Me From Hello! It's BEAUTIFUL! Jon sounds absolutely AMAZING on this CD. He's grown so much as a vocalist since the early days. I don't know what people expect, but if you really don't like it and it's not living up to your expectations... make your own CD. See if you can do any better.

hey, i agree....however i also think that some ppl just say they don't like an album, coz they know everyone will reply saying how great it is, so they can get their posts up!

Remember too people, that at most a lot of us have had access to the album songs for a couple of weeks, so it's still hard to give a solid opinion on a lot of songs. Some songs take time to grow on you. I've only liked Neurotica for a few months, yet I've had the album nearly 2 years!!
