i have found an interesting webpage about germans. can't say i am very happy with whats on it...but on closer look most of it really is true :shock:

Anyway Jana, I spent a couple of years in Germany with the british army and served some months in West Berlin as well. I think the article you refer to does us Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish a disservice actually- we are all classified as Brits, not just the english.
i am surprised at Jaq though- a british asian who calls India the motherland does not deserve to be a british citizen. If you are a British citizen of asian origin then your obligation as such a citizen is to the UK not India. I support David Blunketts new laws on British citizenship that forces emmigrants and other foreigners who wish to to come to Britain permanently to swear an oath to the British Crown. I mean no offence Jaq, just trying to ensure you know what being a uk citizen means. We are meant to be a multi cultural society.
