Dumb things that your parents have said to you.
 

Okay, I'm sure you remember them. The things that you're parents have told you, that you still roll your eyes at to this day.

Some friends and I were talking about this and I started remembered some of the stupid things my mom had said.

1) She went to Woodstock while she was pregnant with me. She asked me once, "Do you remember??"
"Uh no Mom, I don't."

2) She took me as a baby to mexico. She asked me again, "Do you remember?"
and again, "Uh no Mom, I don't."

And both times, she was really disappointed that I didn't remember these experinces.

are we talking dumb as in funny, or just dumb as in crap?

Mom was a smart woman, but some of the crap that she said when she was drunk..... I just have to shake my head.

ah... in that case there isnt really that much..

My mother asked me not so long ago why I didn't have a boyfriend, I said because I didn't want one.. question: Are you a lesbian, because I wouldn't mind.... thought pattern of my mother!
The best one was to my sister, my sister got married a year after her daughter was born, my mum said "Will you tell Juliette that you weren't married before you had her?" My sister: "Well, she's on the wedding pictures!"

i was just telling mouse that my mum said exactly the same thing to me not so long ago. go figure :roll:

It's so stupid though!! I mean if I don't have a boyfriend because I'm a lesbian, wouldn't I then have a girlfriend???? :roll:

My mom tends to repeat herself often and explain things to me that I already know. I can't think of anything stupid that my parents have said, right now. Do stupid pet names count? My mom used to call me "little buttocks". Thank goodness she doesn't, anymore.

and then just laughs.. no apology

exactly! i was like "mum - just because i dont have a b/f doesnt make me a lesbian. duh!" :x i mean, i have nothing against girls liking girls, not at all. but i prefer men. sorry :P
