Tonight, the automatic radars (right word ??) will start to work on the peripherique (ring road) around Paris. If you drive faster than 85kms/h, it will coast you 90 Euros :?

i got fined £30 for dropping people off in a disabled bay for about a minute because a police van was actually takign up half the disabled bay and covering the signs and markings telling u then the next week i was coming out of town and they were pullign people over to try and catch drunk drivers. since they knew i hadnt been drinking they had to get me with something so i couldnt say it was harrasment or whatever and they gave me a vehicle defect form to get one of the baterry screws tightened and one of the brake lights fixed which i could have actually done on the spot

the problem with cars is that that they're demand is very innelastic meaning the overall demand for them doesnt go down too greatly even when people have to pay mor ein road tax for apparently nothing, get fined for going a couple of miles over the limit and stuff like that so the government takes liberties with it just the same as smoking and drinking doesnt change when they add another few bob on every election.

Its just a licence to get more money out of drivers. Mor often than not They dont put speed cameras up in dangerous areas, they put they them up where they know people will get caught.

exactly. Theyve put speed cameras up near where I live at the bottom of a hill, and lowered the speed limit to 30MPH. It doesnt need to be that low but theyre catching loads of people and making them loads of money
