Updating its pop-rock sound simultaneously in opposite directions, the band co-wrote the single "Everyday" with Andreas Carlsson, one of the Swedish studio wizards behind the Backstreet Boys, while "Undivided" has a slurring riff that would be at home on a Korn record. The title Bounce is meant to be an exhortation to America after 9/11, and if it doesn't exactly offer poetic catharsis, the existence of the eighth Bon Jovi record is reassurance of a different kind: Life goes on. You wouldn't want Wendy's to stop making grilled-chicken sandwiches, either."

In sweden the album scored 1/5 in all big news papers, except one where it got 2/5.

Think it´s a not so bad review compared to other Rollingstone-reviews of Bon Jovi-albums. And 3/5 means "good" in the Rollingstone-rating-scheme and is a very fair rating for BOUNCE. So please don´t overrate every word of every review you read. Enjoy Bounce instead! 8)

Yeah the review could have been worse.
The only problem now is that I have a sudden urge to eat at wendy's.

Why is it almost every critic has to try and be funny? Actually, why do they think they have to write in a way that appears to make them smarter? Oh yeah, because they want us to think that they are intelligent, and KNOW what they are talking about.

Critics....critics can suck my.......

I have read this review a few times now and each time I think maybe it isn't so bad to be called pop rock comfort food. While I wish they spent more time describing and critiquing the songs the review really wasn't so bad. Lots of people buy chicken soup too.

One of those "I need to collect my paycheck" kind of reviews. Totally neutral. I don't want to offend (too much) neither Bon Jovi fans nor haters kinda thing. I wish the Rolling Stone would finally take some side.
