why dont our four guys accept Hugh as the fifth member of the band?He exists in the videos but has never been in the photos...is that a gesture to Alec just like "your place has never been replaced"?

Is 4 more attractive than 5 as a number?

I suppose thats a question only the guys can answer. There has been a few postings on that topic and it looks as though it could be a never ending topic.

Hugh wasn't part of the Bon Jovi "family" in the start. Jon states that if Bon Jovi (many years from now) were inducted into the R-R hall of fame, he would have Alec put in, other than Hugh. You must not forget that Alec was the original Bon Jovi bassist, and has not been PERMANENTLY replaced.

Hugh is a hired bassist.

Maybe Hugh doesn't want all the media attention.

Yeah, I reckon it's more that Hugh doesn't want to be tied down to just one band.

Just thinking, was that Hugh playing bass on set on the 'making' of Everyday, but didn't actually get into the video? Am I correct? Just thinking....

I feel sorry for him, he looks like a goon when he's playing :wink: but don't get me wrong, he's great, heda man, like him better than Alec....

Yes, this is the reason. Jon doesn't want to replace Alec official because they went through so much together.

I still Think the Main reason is that he is Bald.
Don't get me Wrong he's a hell of a Bass player (WAY better than Alec)
But he's Bald and Uncool.

I doubt his being bald is the reason....
