These Days songs on the Crush and upcoming Bounce tours...

I remember hearing a couple of bootlegs of concerts from the These Days tour and when some songs from that album were played, the reaction was mild at best.

I don't think These Days had a big hit like so many other BJ albums did, but it rated well in the charts when released probably due to it being on the back of Crossroad, which was quite successful.

I've seen some people mention on this board that occasionally a song from TD was played on the Crush tour and I was wondering, what was the reaction to the song? I'm thinking that maybe now that people have had plenty of time to listen to the These Days album and let the songs grow on them (because I don't think there is a song from that album that hits you right away, my opinion anyway), and that a general feeling on this board is that there are a number of TD songs held in high regard by Jovi fans (These Days, Hey God, Something To Believe In).

I think that if These Days tracks were played on the next tour, they would be very well received because the status of a lot of TD songs has risen substantially since the album was released. :)

Well, yeah, but those are the only three songs, that are good on concerts. Oh yeah, These Days (the song) was great on the crush tour, the audience san the whole first verse, it was great! And that's a really difficult verse to sing for an audience, I have it on bootleg, it's great to listen, but you can hear the audience struggle. (And that's for dutch fans, which are really fanatic, so you can forget about that in other countries.)
It was the first thing I mentiones when I came back from the show I think.

I really enjoy These Days (song) live. Itīs one of my favourite songs anyway. Something for the pain is also cool.
But althogh I like These Days (album) ALOT, I donīt like to hear the songs live (exept TD and SFTP). Thatīs hard to explain, but I think you have to listen to the album as a hole and not only to one single song. Plus like you said, thereīs no real "anthem" on These Days. Therefore I think the songs are not doing that well in concert. Iīve heard Something to belive in and These Days on their OWN Tour and most people in the audience reacted (to say it lightly) not very enthusiastic. Maybe cause they canīt really sing along with those songs and struggle with the text.

They sang These Days at a couple of the shows i've been to on the Crush tour and OWN tour. I love the album and i wish they would play more off it, but it is special when they play any song off it!

They performed "Damned" when I went to their show in Stockholm 2000 and it went down perfect with the audience!

Damn, your lucky. Damned is the song I'd most likely see live! Can I download somewhere??

By the way, didn't These Days, Pain and This Ain't a Love Song hit???

Yeah, I also felt a little "lucky" when they played that song. If I'm not mistaken they performed that song four times on the Crush tour, nothing on the OWN tour.
But instead on the OWN tour I got to hear Wild Is The Wind and Homebound Train, two songs I never had expected to hear at that concert! But I still would love to hear more songs from TD next tour. So far I have only heard Hey God, TAALS, These Days and Damned live in person. My dream would have to be to hear Something To Believe In, that would make a BJ concert perfect. No matter what else they played!!

The title track rules. I heard it before the album was even released. I think Someting For The Pain is a good live track too. Something To Believe In however, isn't one that I look forward to hearing live.
I hope they play These Days, Something For The Pain or even Hey God and This Ain't A Love Song in the upcoming tour. We gotta have at least 1 representative from each album (Yeah Jon, you hear me, I mean: Always Run To You and She Don't Know Me)

:)
