Explanation of one word, help please!

What does "Critical Acclaim" means?

I appreciate all help!

acclaim [noun, uncountable]:
praise and approval for somebody/something, especially an artistic achievement

from my Oxford dictionary.

It simply means that *all* the critics agree that it's an excellent artistic work 8)

he lives in sweden, his english teacher probably comes from sweden as well, so that's natural...

do your teachers for other languages know everything? oh, yes, i forgot, you don't need other languages, the whole world speaks english....

It has nothing to do with that, he's just a crappy teacher.

bah, such a stupid answer! i'm sure there are hundreds of french words or expressions your french teacher doesn't know, unless he's from france himself. same thing with every other language. i can relly understand that somebody who's not originally coming from england or the US or so can have problems translating this!

oh, i forgot again that everybody speaks english perfectly because it is the only language you need!

or did you ever learn another language?

to think that an english teacher must know every english word, just because he's an english teacher is as stupid as thinking that your physics teacher must understand general relativity theory!
