Did you know this, Silcone chips are getting smaller and smaller to the point were they wont work so to get them smaller scientist are going to try to make them out of organic material as it is believed that it will work.Great you might say but there is a worry that as with all organic things they can evolve and grow :shock: so could this be the beginning of artifical life?

"artificial life" to me, means that you built it all artificial. here, they are just gonna use some organic material that can grow etc., that has been done before many times, they even cloned a sheep "artificially" out of some cells, now they are going to create some chips out of some ("living") cells or - but i think that will take a few more years - out of small parts of cells / mitochondria...

for me, artificial life, is some kind of "life" that you create out of non-living / non-organic material. well this is a very difficult thing anyway to say, when something is artificial and when not. same thing with "artificial intelligence"...
