Townies vs Pikeys?

Just interested if you get the whole townies vs pikeys thing where you live? And what are you? It is a really big thing at school, Pikeys hang with pikeys, Townies with townies. I am inbetween.

a definition of each?

jade4jovi 02-08-2004 05:38 PM

Well its hard ...

Pikeys are people that normally listhen to rock music and wear baggy kind of clothes ... Like avril is a pikey.

Townies are really girly or really into like the latest clotheing and that and they normally like pop and rnb kind of music.

ah right. wierd some mad girls that lived on a farm called me n my mates townies at t in the park a few years ago. we thought it was cos we were from a town and being in the drunken state we were we proceeded to argue with them until their big fat ring leader tried to set me on fire with their stove.

bitch.

anyways neither. i listen to good music whether it be rock dance classical or whatever and i wear what i like.

shirts, jeans, casual stuff. no point pigeonholing urself.

think we don't really have this over here. at least not two groups where you only hang around with guys from the same group. reading your two definitions i would rather consider myself as a pikey though, or i go with what jim said. (wear what i like, listen to what i like etc.)

 That definition of pikey is different (and a lot less insulting) than the one I know......

Keep On Rockin'

At school We used to call them Townies and Moshers, I fell somewhere in between

RichieW2001 02-08-2004 10:43 PM

we had townies and moshers. isn't a pikey a townie?!

our group were branded trendies by the moshers and nob eds by the townies. i pretty much got on with everyone though so it was okay.
