Opinions, do they matter?
Do you care what people think of you?

In all honesty no. which is a big reason as to why I say pretty much whatever i think regardless of how many people it'll offend or won't agree.
same goes for looks. i've walked around with a big chunk out of my hair cos ashlea ****ed up cutting it. the shoes i wear everyday r battered in to the point of nearly falling apart but i honestly couldn't care less what someone anyone else had to say about it. |
i shouldn't do but i do. i was just having a conversation with my mate about it. we both agreed we wouldn't leave home without doing our hiar, putting decent clothes on, having a shave etc etc.

It depends on whose opinion it is and on what. I usually listen (if it's from someone I care) and think about it. Sometimes I act accordingly, sometimes I just ignore it. It depends on many things, really.

If it is somebody I care about, yes. Otherwise, could not care less.
and I do not pretty up to go to the mailbox or to walk the dog. I only dress up for my sake never for anyone else. Only to make me feel good :D |
No if it's about my clothes etc ... Yes, if it's about me as a mother for exemple. Opinions in fact are not important, it's more the fact that people think they can judge you.

When I travel on business, I always stay in VERY nice hotels in very nice areas of town. However, upon arrival and in my leisure time, I do not dress fancy. I definitely notice a difference in treatment if I wear a suit or ripped jeans. Though, I enjoy it more when I wear the jeans  Latest example at the Fairmont in Santa Monica, Los Angeles. I got out of the cab in ripped jeans, t-shirt and sunglasses. The cab driver unloaded my luggage, but no hotel staff was available. It was clear that after the bus boy gave me one look, he didn't think of me as a priority (as I should have been as an arriving guest). I left my luggage outside and passed him, giving him a stare. I checked in and asked the check-in staff if it was policy at the Fairmont for guests to carry my own bags up to my room. They were very apologetic and paged the bus boy. He got a big tip nonetheless and hurried every time he saw me to open doors for me or to ask how I was. I hope he won't be so quick to judge anymore (though I doubt it). Anybody can dress up and get treated nicely, I enjoy it much more if I am not wearing the expected attire and still get first class treatment. :D |
