Sharpton Says Bush Lied, Hopes President Knew It

I saw this debate on tv the other night and had to laugh. You have to admire the man for speaking what is on his mind instead of saying what he thinks people want to hear..
Here's the article:

Sharpton Says Bush Lied, Hopes President Knew It
Monday, February 16, 2004; Page A06
MILWAUKEE, Feb. 15 -- The question from panelist Lester Holt seemed simple enough: Did President Bush lie to the American people about the war in Iraq, and if so, why?
Well, first of all, I think that if he did know he was lying and was lying, that's even worse," Al Sharpton explained. "Clearly, he lied. Now if he is an unconscious liar, and doesn't realize when he's lying, then we're really in trouble. Because, absolutely, it was a lie."
As the audience began to murmur and laugh, Sen. John Edwards (N.C.) was caught on camera trying unsuccessfully to stifle a chuckle. Sharpton was just getting warmed up.
"They said they knew the weapons were there. . . . So I hope he knew he was lying, because if he didn't, and just went in some kind of crazy, psychological breakdown, then we are really in trouble. Clearly, you know, I'm a minister. Why do people lie? Because they're liars. He lied in Florida; he's lied several times. I believe he lied in Iraq," he concluded, to heavy applause.
Undaunted, Holt, of MSNBC, sought clarification. "Why would he lie?" the panelist asked.
After another long response, Sharpton said the definitive account should be left to Bush: "I think we should give him the rest of his retirement to figure that out and explain to us."

Kind of like the pot calling the kettle black. I wouldn't believe a thing he said if his tongue was notarized. Sharpton publicly accused a New York man named Steve Pagones of raping a girl (Twana Brawley), who later admitted she was coached by Sharpton to lie about the incident. The man is nothing but a racist in my book--zilch credibility.

 Sharpton is the biggest fool of them all!! The Twana Brawley incident speaks for itself.

Goose, you have only heard one aspect of the man called Sharpton. He is a racist. Anything that happens to a black person in NY, he is there up the cities arse trying to get some money for himself and "the family." What about the Chinese delivery man that was killed in NY the other day. Anyone see Sharpton in the news that day supporting that family? If someone is black, and there is the possibility of a lawsuit, Sharpton is right there trying to get something for himself.

As for mudslinging, we still don't have a Democratic candidate just yet. Policies will come out once it is decided who is actually going to run against GW.

I am talking about the fact that he has zero credibility for making a hash of the truth.... kind of like Bush.

So how are democrat supporters making their choice right now if no one speaks about plans and policies?
