Would you...

... adopt a child with aids?

i was watching the news tonight, and they were talking about a woman that have adopted 7 kids with aids. And i know that she probably just wants to give them all the best she can, but my first thought was she doesnt even know how much shes gonna suffer! i think it takes a lot of courage to make such thing and i dont really know if i could do it... though i know they need to be loved and have a home and a family, i would also have to think if i wanted to get attatched to someone that i know im gonna have to see die...

i think its somethign that deos take a lot of serious thinking. and its the same with a child with any sort of disability. they need to be loved too so why should they suffer and be without?

i know that im only just 17 but i think with the right kind of support behind me i wouldnt see why not. i know that if i had AIDS and was left for adoption it would hurt beyond belief if i was rejected just because of my disease.

but at the end of the day its a very hard commitment and you shouldnt be hard done if you cant handle it.

Wow a dission like that take so much thinking, wondering and realising

I myself woudn't cause I even don't know if I want kids of my own. So addopting is way out of the question. But I can imagine when you would do something with your life and be helpfull you do something like that. I can imagine someone does that. I think she knows she is going to suffer but she also knows this child has had a chance to be happy and a lot children with aids don't.

I wouldn't adopt any child. I never wanted kids.

If I would want a child then it is a different story. But hypothetically, yes, I would adopt a child with AIDS.

No. I would want a nice clean child.

Wow, this is tough. I guess this is one of those situations where you can't say yes or no and know that's whta you would actually do...

But I guess I'd adopt a child with AIDS if I got to know him / her and grew fond of him / her. Would I do it out of the blue without seeing the child? I don't think so :( Saying yes is very nice but a child with Aids involves hard work and a hard time.

I think that the main reason a child would be put up for adoption if they had AIDS was because their parent(s), who they had got the disease from, had died of it...not because the parents wanted to get rid of the child because they had AIDS.

call me a cold hearted bastard but I wouldn't under any circumstance.
