how do you record on your hard drive a streaming video from the net and what program is needed ?

Streambox VCR for RM-streams, although RM-streams seem to be somehow protected. I haven´t able to save them lately. And use SDP or something else for WM-files. Google.com should give you links for where to find them.

Oops. A slip. :)

Newer RM-streams are protected, and cannot be recorded unless you use some sort of video-caputuring software.

I tried using url sniffer and all I got was "unknown url format" so I guess a video capturing program would have to be used.

and what would a video capture do ? just capture still images or the real video ?

No problem ripping it. The URL is

and it downloaded just fine with NetTransport.

Hmmm - sorry about that. I checked again this morning and got the same url that Ice did. I was DL too many bit torrents last night and my network was very slow. Url snooper did not work well under those circumstances.
