help with guitars

a friend of mine wants to buy online an american stratocaster HSS or a highway stratocaster HSS. he has found them on american sites but the shipping cost is quite high. on european sites the guitar itself is expensive. do you know any site with reasonable prices where he can look?
thanx :)

Mars?

check out american music supply. shipping will probably still be a bit of a cunt but the stuffs usually dirt cheap.

im getting myself soem pedals from america soon. the terrible dollar exchange means i can get stuff delivered to my door from the us for 50 that would usually cost me 150-200

dont they do the highway strats in shops over there? i mean i know other countries dont get as big a selection as the US but somewhere must carry fenders and the H1 and american series strats r pretty much the base of the range.

no guitars in mars are quite expensive due to our developed technology.

Just incase he's not particularly bothered about brand names this is some info on G & L guitars and how to contact them in greece. Leo Fender left fender and started up this company with a guy called george fullerton.

so in essence what your getting is leo fenders last idea of what a strat or tele should have been before he died. it's a little bit more expensive than the american strat (well maybe not i dunno what the going rate in greece is) but since not alot people know about them they can be had second hand for dirt cheap and they basuically feel sound and play like custom shop built fenders.

i've got one and i'll guarantee your mate that he'll be hard pressed to find a fender to rival them.
