I think SWW sold something like 12 millions in US and 6 worlwide( 1996), NJ 9 (in 1990), KTF 8, TD 8, Crush 8

Crossroad was around 15 Million and OWN must be around 2 or 3 million since they got an award for 10 Million sold albums last year for Crush and OWN together.

I only know what Richie said several times and that they were very surprised about the big success, they didn't espect it.

Look at the rock charts! Bonce is at number 1 (of course  )
But Cross Road, Keep The Faith and Slippery When Wet are still selling!

I've read before that SWW has sold twenty-some million copies world wide.

I can't help you about the album sells but if you're interested: at www.riaa.com you find a list about gold+platinum discs of any artist in the USA,so of BJ.

Maybe SWW sold 12 million around it's release but it has sold much more when the new fans with KTF, TD, C & B buy it (which makes 20 million)? Could it be so? Besides, I think it was on bj.com that they don't have excact figures from the (early) 80's sales, so they don't know precisely themselves.

What is up with that Top40 list? It's impossible for 4 Bon Jovi albums to be selling that good at the same time... And I mean, Appetite for Destruction at #6? What is this list, it certainly can't be a list of what's selling right now... I refuse to believe it. :?

Edit: Oh and I do know that releasing a new album boosts older albums' sales as well. But Appetite? 2 Nirvana records? Eh.
