Converting Music CD's to MP3

Are there any free programs out there where you can convert a music CD to MP3 on the computer? I have a MP3 player, but could never figure out how to convert CD's that I own over to that format. :? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I use 'Dmc Audio Input' (also called dBpowerAmp) Brooke. Never had any problems with it.

Download it here. Its a small program, easy to use and its free.

On the contrary. I too had that problem. Of course there are programs that do it, but unfortunately every one is limited in some way as they will only let you download the trial version. What you need then is a crack which will overwrite the software in the program and let you use to its full capabilities, as if you had just bought it.

I downloaded a great program not so long ago called Easy CD ripper, and managed to find a crack for it too. Go to google.com and type in Easy CD Ripper version 1.53. You'll probably be able to get the free download like I did. Once you've installed it you'll have to install the crack. I have the crack on my comp, and I'll upload it for you if you have an account somewhere, or I could just email it you or something.

Good luck! Make sure you get version 1.53.

Thanks for the quick response Kev and Rob! I used to just download the MP3 even if I had the CD, but I figure I should find a new method. Thanks again. I am getting pretty sick of listening to the same stuff on my MP3 Player! :D

I always use Focus Free CD Ripper. It is very easy to use. You can download it over here: http://download.com.com/3000-2140-10...ml?tag=lst-0-1

I use Music Match Juke box to play my songs in playlists ... You can also rip the music from a cd and they are mp3 automatically ... Easy and pretty fast.

use iTunes for Windows! www.apple.com

it's not just for ripping CD's, but also the best music-player around...

nope, use dBpowerAMP like Kev said. and you will never ever have problems with converting files anymore. with powerAMP you can also really easy concert to SHN or FLAC or covert downloaded SHN or FLAC or MKW or MP3 files (downloaded bootlegs for example) to wave etc. especially with these losless formats nothing is better and faster than powerAMP. (i download my bootlegs usually in FLAC and then use it, it's about 5 times faster than every other programm i've used before)
