My Dad to the Rescue
 

I have to brag about my Dad! First the background: I got a new truck Wednesday, so I had to get new registeration and my license plate (tag) renewed. Since my dad owns his own business, he can take off when he wants, so he went to take care of it for me so I wouldn't have to take time off work yesterday.

My tag says BONJOVI. They're changing the style of the tags, so they had to issue me a regular one until the personalized one comes in. The lady took my old tag and threw it in the garbage! :shock: So, my dad told her she couldn't do that. She said they always disposed of the old ones and he said, "No, my daughter has had that tag for 10 years and she collects Bon Jovi memorbilia and you can't just throw it away." The lady told him she liked Bon Jovi too, dug it out of the trash and my dad returned it safely to me. :D

Yeah... can't you just see me going through the dumpster at the DMV trying to find my tag! ROTFLMAO

I have to say my dad is great. He always drives me to concerts because I have a visual problem that limits my driving. He paid for me to go to New Jersey for the BWJBJ 10th Anniversary party as a way to say he was proud of me for having a 4.0 throughout college. For someone who used to threaten to burn my Bon Jovi CDs and tear my posters off the wall because I was "obsessed," he's come a long way, baby!!

LOL Becky, can just picture you going through every trash can you could find in order to get your tag back, but chuck I would probably be doing the same if it was me.

My step-mum's sister moved into a new house a while back and one of the rooms had a few BJ things in it but her sister put them in the bin, so my step-mum (just gotta luv her now) went out and found them, wooohoooo.
