The best solo?
 

I like long solo's - but I also like short solo's if you hit the right tones like Richie does (ex: Prayer)...

My favourite solo's is:

Prayer - It's short, but he hits the right tones...
Wanted - It just sounds so cool - good skills.
Bad Name - The fingertapping-thing is so cool...
Lay Your Hands - Good skills!

And of course Dry County and 100 years because they're long and good...

What is your favourite solo?

Yeah, you've gotta love Dry County and Next 100 Years. I like the solo on The Right Side Of Wrong, that's really good.
Always live alway has a great solo, Wembly, London 1995 was fantastic!

Dry County (just blew me away at first listen) and KTF... and Wanted (of course)

Dry County always aises the hairs on my neck - its unbeatable!

Solos by Richie are always best Live. I cannot get enough of the Wanted solo, the way Richie plays it is just so powerful. It is short but possibly the best solo ever! I also like Born to Be My Baby, and I enjoyed the Raise Your Hands solo as well.

But the best guitar solo performance of all time?? As mentioned earlier, the second solo on Always from the 1995 Wembley performance is out of this world! It is the best solo I have ever heard. Richie is not necesarily THE most techincally capable guitarist, but he always hits exactly the notes I want to hear. He is amazing.
