PC problems again
 

It started when i wanted to install a new antivirus and delete files of the old one yesterday morning.
No virus, no trojans, no spywares, nothing, i've checked everything and some guys on a forum of computer help are still trying to help me again, but i've spent nearly all the night on this problem and the whole day before too, one of the strange thing is a window asking me to install Whistler.bpl, i can't find this anywhere and don't know if it's "the" problem, before it was a window for VCL50.bpl, i've found it and installed it. I don't know why my pc wants them :? If these are some composants of windows, i don't have the cd's (no illegal thing, it's just i don't have them, HP wants us to pay for them but we never had them and i know i can download them legally on some sites but i don't have a cd burner ... ) Maybe i will find someone with these cd's, but for the moment, i can't. So even if i have to format my HD again, i can't reinstal Windows after, so it's useless.
I've deleted all files and programs wich could create any conflicts, so i don't understand, i don't even know why i can surf now. Because until now, no browsers were working, the timer was "asleep" on the msn icon (deleted it too). I wonder if it's not since i've removed msn i can surf .... strange.
If anyone has an idea (and if i can come and check) ...... let me know.
Just to let you know, no need to pm or message me, i can't read them when it's not working :( Just can't open any windows ......

I am trying to install McAfee... also problems! It is installed but I cannot upload it grRRRRR. I can scan my HD for virussen but I am not protected against virusses! I have installed a free anti-virus program but then there is a file missing so I cannot download the latest version...

What is it with anti-virus programs???? Aaaaaaaaaaaaah


So far so good... but I don't want the little animals working their way round in my PC. Who can help??

Jess can you uninstall the softwear then do a system restore to a couple of weeks ago?

That's what i did on Thursday.
I reinstalled my old antivirus last night and the window doesn't come up anymore, but all the problems are not totally solved. I think i have to "repair" Windows, but i don't have the cd's .... :(

On Monday i will ask the people next door to work that is what they do repair pc's and see if they can come up with anything

I just need the cd's of windows xp .... unfortunely i don't have it.

It's a netscape registry fixer. Not 100% sure it would work but worth a try.

IF u don't have very important files then format ur drive c:(if windows is installed there) and reinstall the windows and all other software, it will save u lot of trouble. IF u have important dat then try to take backup and do it.

i'm sure u can brow from someone else and also make sure u have all the driver cd.
