Look what I found
I was just listening to this singer Billy Rogers and was looking for info about him. On http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/billyrogers I suddenly saw the name Bon Jovi in the text.
"In Rogers' road travels he met renowned Guitarist, Richie Sambora and was offered the lead singer position in the band Bon Jovi, as there was conflict within the band before its reconciliation and ultimate success in the late 1980's." What do you think?? |
Sounds like B S to me. There is only one "lead singer" as we know the band Bon Jovi. How could Richie offer someone else Jon's job? And the conflict and reconciliation came in the early 90's, not the late 80's.

Considering that Bon Jovi is Jon's band I highly doubt that it's true.
|
Well, it is as much Richie's, Tico's and David's Band as Jon's band but it is named after Jon's stage name so these "infos" are wrong. And Jon hired Richie and not the other way around.
|
I think if it ever came to a point where Jon wanted to do one thing and the rest of the band where against him I think it would be he that would end up using the name Bon Jovi, even if it was with another band.
|
Wasn't Jon the only one sighed by the label in the 80? That means that he was the only one who could hire and fire people. Now things may be different but that's how it was.
