APRIL FOOLS DAY: Important announcement for all users!
 

Hi everyone,

due to recent problems with high JT server load, I'm forced to take some rather drastic measures to ensure future stability & normal operations:

- all posts will be deleted: by that we will completely clean currently HUGE Jovitalk database (everyone will start with 0 posts again). Many other forums are regularly purging their database and deleting old posts as well;

- to reduce unnecessary spamming and creation of several posts where one would be enough, a limit of max 15 posts per day will come into effect next week.

Hopefully these measures will help JT run more smoothly and without frequent outages experiened in recent days!

Good. I'm totally behind this. All the idiots who're currently very very proud about their 10.000+ posts will finally stop bragging about their amount of posts as it'll be returned to zero plus they will be forced to stop spamming. Very good, I like it.

I think it's a nice thing if it helps keeping JT running... I don't care about the amount of posts being deleted... but that maximum of 15 is quite weird. I understand it when it comes to spamming, etc., but sometimes people do post 15+ post a day for "useful" reasons.

Anyway, as I said at the beginning, I'm happy as long as JT goes on :D

This is true. No point having a spamming forum if you can't spam.
