here's the article....

Bon Jovi Wants to End on Top

Jon Bon Jovi wants his rock group Bon Jovi to avoid going down The Rolling Stones route of touring into their fifties - even if the decision costs him a fortune.

The "Living on a Prayer" singer, 42, is keen for the hugely-successful band to end on a high and is willing to miss out on making millions through world comeback tours to preserve their good name.

Jon says, "I don't want to be living on a nostalgia trip from here on in."

"We don't want to be an old band playing the same numbers over and over. Others do it and it puts me off."

"For example, I love Rolling Stones, but I don't want to be doing what they are doing when I reach their age."

The band's current release - 'This Left Feels Right' - is their 11th and possibly final album. It contains 12 acoustic versions of Bon Jovi's best-known numbers.

I like This Left Feels Right but I hope it's not their last album. They deserve to go out better than that.

It is almost like they took pieces from various interviews and put it together. I think Jon did mention that he was against "goodbye" tours but said that he would like to continue with the band for years to come, like The Stones. :? I don't think there is any truth to that article.

I don't believe it is true either. Something seems fishy about that article. You cannot trust written articles like that anyway, they like to stretch the truth and get people talking. It sounds like a bunch of bull s*** if you ask me.

the band has not shown any signs of slowing down or retiring, sure they don't want to just play the old songs that is why they continue to write new music.. Bounce just came out a little over a year ago, i bet we'll be seeing/hear about a new cd in a year or two... and IMO i think the band loves what they do and loves the fans and won't stop

They paraphrased the UK mirror piece which was already full of inaccuracies and misinterpretations. Bon Jovi are not done making music- they are on a break. They want to stay relevent making new music, not just singing old songs. Nothing to worry about.

Oh good grief! Here we go again. For some reason, the press likes to talk about the demise of Bon Jovi. Does that happen with U2 and Aerosmith and the like?

Jon and Richie have been writing this year. There will be more Bon Jovi in the future. Just stay tuned.
