A question for you..
 

I came across several yanks t'other day that proclaimed America 'won' the Battle of Britain for us by giving us loads of pilots.. (do Americans actually do history at school?)

My question to you lot is, how many American pilots do you reckon took part in the Battle of Britain?

Well their atttude on things like that is nothing new to me, yanks seem to believe that THEY won every war that was ever won by western civiliations.

I think we did have a tad bit to do with winning them,but of course didn't do it ourselves.

id say no more than 1/10th of the total force....

2353 British Pilots, 574 From overseas, and 10 of them were from America. Yet still Americans proclaim they won the battle of Britain...and people wonder why America isnt particularly liked...

imagine if millions of britains went around saying "actually it was us that.." (I was going to put a great american victory there but couldnt actually think of one...)

i can think of one...
