JON BON JOVI ON THE ROAD WITH JOHN KERRY
(Friday, April 9, 2004) JON BON JOVI is confirmed to hit the road later this month with Senator JOHN KERRY on the CHANGE STARTS WITH U: Kerry Campus Tour 2004. The John Kerry For President campaign today released the full schedule for next week's tour and Jon Bon Jovi is included among the celebrities and high-profile Democrats who will be supporting Kerry's campaign. On FRIDAY, APRIL 16TH, Jon Bon Jovi will be a part of the program on the final day of the campaign's college tour. FRIDAY, APRIL 16TH at UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a real, confirmed event; not internet rumors or chatter. By posting this information, this website is not asking anyone to support this candidate. Jon Bon Jovi has chosen to excercise his right as a US citizen to show his support for this candidate and done so publically; he encourages all of you to get involved. You need not agree with his political beliefs to continue enjoying the music he makes. All you can do as a US citizen is pay attention to the news, learn all you can and (if you're of age) make sure you excercise your right to vote during the 2004 elections. Just make sure you vote. ah hes such a good democrat, Go both Jons
thanks for the info Dawn |
although i support kerry (and jon  ), i am not sure what to think of this...
imo, jon shouldn't get involved in politics like that. people might vote kerry because they are BJ fans, not because they really agree with kerry's motives. not sure thats a good thing |

IMO, if a person doesn't know who or what they're voting for, they should stay at home. Becky |
I wouldn't worry, Kerry won't win because of this. :P Only kidding, well sort of.
Seriously though, Jon is just helping him out, not preaching for him on television or at concerts. I don't think it will influence anyone one way or another. |
I don`t like it when artists support political candidats. They should know how soem of their fans will be influenced by them( talking about backstagers :D )

I get annoyed with entertainers getting involved in politics too, but the fact is it's their right to do so. As long as Jon or some other artist I PAY to see isn't telling me how to vote, I don't think they're crossing any ethical lines. Now, if I pay for a concert and get an ad campaign for a candidate (whether I agree or not), I will think they crossed a line. But what Jon is doing is free and/or clearly labeled as a political campaign. He's exercising his rights as a citizen to support his candidate. Becky |
