Bon Jovi Wins WZPL's March Madness
 

BON JOVI WINS WZPL'S MARCH MADNESS!

BON JOVI today was crowned winner of Z-99.5's MARCH MUSIC MADNESS with their hit "Livin' On A Prayer."

Z-99.5 (WZPL-FM/Indianapolis) selected the top three songs from each of the station's 21 years on the air, plus one alternate, for a total of 64 songs. These songs were then randomly paired in basketball tournament style brackets for daily battles in which listeners chose the winner by phone calls, e-mails, and text messages.

Bon Jovi actually had two songs in the tournament -- "Livin' On A Prayer" and "It's My Life" -- the only artist to score two songs in the station's Top 64 tournament.

The "Final Four" included both Bon Jovi songs as well as Guns N' Roses "Sweet Child O' Mine" and Meat Loaf's "I Would Do Anything For Love."
